Another sketchbook down

Just finished a Moleskine watercolour sketchbook. Woo hoo! Nothing beats the feeling of the last mark of your pen on the final page.

I know not long ago I said I'd finished another sketchbook but it's not like I just whipped through a new one. I had actually been keeping two concurrently - a 'good' one and an 'everyday' one. The one just finished is the 'good' one.

I started both of them about mid-year so it's a nice feeling of closure to be done with the second one now.

My recently finished Moleskine watercolour sketchbook.

I now keep a pocket-sized Hand Book sketchbook in my everyday bag (I'm loving the size for convenience) and I'm about to start a Stillman & Birn Gamma Series sketchbook with ivory paper for my more considered sketches (for when I get to sketch on my own, that is, without the kids around!).

About to start on this Stillman &Birn Gamma Series Ivory sketchbook.

I'm really looking forward to starting on this as I've heard so many great things about the Stillman & Birn brand. Also, I'm used to working landscape in a sketchbook so this portrait format book will make an interesting change.

In other news, my paintings were featured in a few places last week. My work was featured here and I was interviewed here. One of my paintings also appeared in a magazine. Very exciting stuff!
