We took the kids to see my painting at the Nillumbik Prize Exhibition on the weekend. Unsurprisingly they were more interested in the enormous carved Sequoia Seat (also the winning work). Fair enough too. They could sit on that one. Can't do much with a painting ;)
I also managed to sneak away to do a workshop with Lily Mae Martin. Felt so lucky for the opportunity to pick up hints and tricks from such an incredible artist.
I brought Miss P's beanie along to draw and enjoyed creating the detail of the wool. I'm planning to do a series of drawings of the girls' clothes. But that project will have to wait for a while.
Right now I need to focus on my little show which is coming up pretty fast. So much work still to do, eeeh!
