Framing my grandmother's artwork

I previously wrote about how my grandmother did a commercial art course in the 1930s, then went on to become a photo colourist. I was so lucky to receive some of her art school work from Mum and I finally got them framed last week.

I didn't dare frame these myself; I had them professionally done so that they will stand the test of time. They're ready to be hung now and I'm so happy with them.

Commercial art - my grandmother's student work from the 1930s

I know that every time I look at them I will be reminded of her. Even though I don't remember her, I feel close to her memory through my mum and through the artwork she left behind, and I'm constantly inspired by her talent, creativity and work ethic. I'm so lucky to have these artworks to remember her by.
