Review - Morran Book Project

Morran was a very special dog, famous far and wide for being Camilla Engman's sidekick and also, simply, for being her good and adventurous self. Sadly, she passed away last year but her spirit lives on in this most magnificent little art book. Camilla sent the call out for artists and illustrators all over the world to contribute artwork and the end result is a wonderfully diverse tribute to Morran and a fabulous showcase of wonderful work.

One of my favourite artists, Geninne D. Zlatkis' work appears (above), as does an illustration by her son, Daniel (image: bottom, far-right). So much talent in one family!

I discovered lots of other wonderful illustrators, too numerous to mention! But here are some favourites:

Left: Marloes de Vries Right: Michelle Crowe
Sara Olmos

And I simply could not resist showing you these gorgeous hand-knitted mittens by Laerke Roark:

As of the start of January, the Morran Book Project had raised more than a thousand dollars (U.S.) for WSPA - World Society for the Protection of Animals (Sweden). Great news!

Pictures that didn't make the book deadline are still being posted here.

It's the cutest little book for a most worthy cause. The Morran Book Project is self-published through Blurb.
