As I tend to a sick toddler (it's been one thing after another) and wallow in my own sleep-deprivation I'm content to be living vicariously through the wonderful achievements of others at the moment. One such success story that has me very excited is that of
Daniella Germain. Last year I managed to sneak into the top 20 of the annual Koko Black drawing prize along with Ms Germain and was fortunate enough to attend the very decadent
Chocolate Indulgence Party which, to a chocolate-lover like myself, was all my chocolate Christmases come at once. Daniella's entry was commended at the party and was later turned into this gorgeous gift box:

But even more exciting things were afoot for her! She has just released a beautiful cookbook entitled
My Abuela's Table full of scrumptious recipes handed down from her grandmother and lovingly, stunningly illustrated by herself.

Here is the story of how her book came to be published. Needless to say I can't wait to get my hands on a copy and wish her great success with it!
