Happy New Year!

We're very excited about 2010. That fresh-start, clean-slate, world-is-your-oyster, anything-is-possible feeling at the turn of a new year has got to be the best feeling in the world.

For us, this year is about trying to live more creatively and more sustainably. We're on our way with our veggie patch (a water tank is on this year's wish-list). And we spent a good few days over the new year period making jam from our fruit trees. Now, we don't want you to get the wrong idea or anything. It wasn't hard work. Our bread-maker, as it turns out, makes jam too. So all you have to do is chop up the fruit (this is the most taxing part of the procedure), throw in the ingredients, and press 'start' on the machine. An hour or so later: jam! Brilliant. We will never buy a jar of jam from the supermarket again.

On top of all this jam-making we have been painting too and we've got so many plans for Art by Wiley we're just about bursting.

Update: (26/02/12) Button Tree Tutorial coming soon. Watch this space!

Well, better go and do some more work, but before we do, we're leaving you with an image of what Little Miss P bought her Daddy for Christmas:

You just add water to the can and 5 or so days later this bean sprouts with a surprise message. You can get different kinds. How cute is it?
